Hungry Hijabi, the writer and recipe developer behind hungryhijabi.co.uk, a mostly bengali, kiddie food and British asian blog, approached us looking for a brand refresh, something to set them apart from the rest of the asian foods market. We were inspired by her global knowledge and diverse cultural ties so focused on this as an integral part of her new identity.
Our mission was to convey Hungry Hijabi’s enthusiasm and fun attitude with an upbeat and inspiring design. Deep orange and purple elements were woven throughout and punctuated the content in bold style.
We sourced beautiful, colourful imagery depicting various cultural food recipes from around the world to form the key visual of their new website.
We coupled these vibrant images with a bold, clean and easy to read logo, with the icons representing both Hungry Hijabi and her husband.
Iconography was used throughout to assist with recognition and interpretation and all these elements work together to create a coherent and consistent visual language.
